Mark Potter
Mark is a Chartered Architect, who has worked in the business for over four decades.
He completed his training at Cambridge University and formed his own practice – Potter Church Holmes – in 1987.
Mark has always had a particular interest in architecture with social purpose and brings with him years of experience in successfully designing and developing community and church buildings that robustly meet the often complex demands of these types of project.
Mark also has first-hand experience of how churches and community funding work. He is a trustee and Chair of the Devas youth club and community centre and is a trustee of Churches Together in Clapham – an ecumenical group which supports a day centre for the homeless, a centre for refugees, night shelters and The Hub to provide shelter and support to revellers.
Mark Eddison
Mark is a Chartered Architect, who has also worked in the same business for over four decades.
He completed his training at Cambridge University with Mark Potter and set up his own architectural practice – MEB Design Ltd. – in 1983.
Mark has designed and built many community-based projects for schools, churches, monastic communities and charities, with an emphasis on people and enhancing the quality of their relationships through design.
Mark has been a member of the Diocesan Advisory Committee for St Albans for many years and thanks to his position as a Quinquennial Inspector for some 30 church buildings in the Dioceses of St Albans, Southwark, Chelmsford and Guildford, can offer up relevant, highly specialised knowledge.
Simon Jacklin
Simon has spent over 30 years in the construction industry as a Chartered Surveyor and is joint Senior Partner in the Daniel Connal Partnership.
He has practised as a chartered building surveyor and chartered project management surveyor on a wide range of projects.
Simon’s particular areas of expertise include project management and project co-ordination, project monitoring, acting as an Employers Agent, building surveying, defect diagnosis, Party Wall advice, contract administration, and design & specification. He is also well experienced in dispute resolution.
Simon is also an incorporated member of the Association of Project Safety and a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
Sharon Osterfield
Sharon has spent most of her career working in the NHS in clinical and managerial positions. More recently she has turned her attention to property and is the founder of 29:11 Prosperity CIC, which provides social and affordable housing to those with convictions but also supports these individuals with education and training in the construction sector and trade skills. She also has extensive experience of working in start-up environments in sectors including property development.
Sharon volunteers in a shelter for the homeless and has also chaired the governing Body of St Peters’ C of E Primary School in Ardingly, with particular responsibility for safeguarding, finance and resourcing.
Charles Congdon
An Oxford graduate, Charles enjoyed a varied 40 year career in the City of London, from which he retired in 2019. Most of his time in finance was spent in the asset management industry, though he also spent some years in investment banking. Most recently he spent 12 years with a leading US-based asset manager, where he was Senior Vice President and sat on the UK board. He has extensive experience in business start-up and development, project management and financial markets.
